I was just looking through the web for birds in India. The interest was prompted by a strange incident that happened to my friend. He was bitten by a crow. Now there is a serious problem here as this guy has got a long hair. Hence the intention of the crow has sparked a debate. The hair being too long that the chances of the crow mistaking for some raw material cannot be ruled out.
I did a wiki search for the crows in India. There are mainly two categories of crows in India. One is the House crow (Colombo Crow) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_Crow and the other one is the Jungle crow (Indian Corby) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jungle_Crow. The one we normally find in Bangalore is the Jungle One. Having a close look at their behavior it seems they have a habit of colonizing the area where they go. It would have found my friend a serious threat and was trying to get his share of the world. Their food pattern depicts that there is some serious threat to the hair as such. My friend’s nourishment to his hair as resulted in providing dwelling to various kinds of lice, worms and special alien pieces.
There was another part of the story whether the guy will turn to crow man. There has not been a marked change yet. There is also a superstition that the crows are symbols of death and people take the forms of crow when they die. He has claimed that he is going to die soon. On an effect my mind took a path. Where did the crow come from? What happened to the crow later? Did it survive?
I feel the crow probably would have got the kick of the life. If it had a nose probably the bird’s state would have been immediate death. Still I feel the crow did survive. I think the crow was a messenger. The message would have been that the days of life is over and there is going to be a new beginning. Anyways my friend got the scare of the life. He is lately trying to find whether the bite may causes rabies. There is also a marked change in the sound to annoying variation like “Caa Caa………”. Before the sound variation close to the same was when he was singing.
The crow seems to have won the battle. With its cleverly planned execution it has scared the free, rational and liberal mind. What more does a crow want? Tomorrow it will be on a journey again and if it finds the same guy it will be going to Australia for an immediate facial surgery.
